MATEO PISANO DI FILIPPO (ARG)

Argentina b. 1990

Mateo Agustín Pisano Di Filippo, born in Argentina in 1990, has always had a strong interest in the hands-on aspect of art. At the age of 8, he began working with ceramics at a local municipal workshop, where he learned about the traditions of indigenous cultures and how to shape clay. This experience sparked his passion, leading him to study Art at La Plata University and Ceramics Crafts at the Instituto de Cerámica Avellaneda.
In his work, he focuses on the relationship between the individual and the collective. While each person is unique, we are all part of a larger community that influences and connects us. The pieces he creates are not merely made up of individual parts; they reflect the idea that everything is interconnected, much like how individuals are shaped by the societies and world around them.
Through his art, he aims to encourage people to reflect on their place in the world—how they are both individuals and part of something larger. Whether his works are displayed individually or as part of a larger installation, they represent the balance between being unique and being connected to everything around us.
